Donna VanDenAvond-Treatment Coordinator

Welcome to Henseler Orthodontics! My name is Donna VanDenAvond. I am excited to share that I have celebrated a decade of employment with Dr. Henseler. In fact, my entire work history has been in the orthodontic field where I have worn many hats. I find great joy in the awesome smile and self esteem transformations we create.

I will be one of the first members of our team that you will meet. My current job title is Treatment Coordinator; once Dr. Steve determines a patient’s orthodontic needs, I am responsible for explaining the treatment process, services provided, and investment presentation. I will also communicate our findings with your general dental provider.

My personal life includes my husband Todd, and children Callie, Brett and Jenna who keep our schedule full with their many sporting activities and school events. When possible we enjoy a winter escape to a tropical weather destination.

Shannon Rode-Scheduling Coordinator

Hi, my name is Shannon Rode. I am one of the Scheduling Coordinators at Henseler Orthodontics. I joined the Henseler team in 2008. I feel fortunate to work in such a fun atmosphere and am proud to be associated with this wonderful office! Dr. Henseler is a thoughtful orthodontist and a fabulous person to work for. All of the “girls” in the office are great and have become treasured friends. I enjoy the customer service aspect of my job and love chatting with patients and parents and seeing the progress to their “lifetime of smiles”.

I have lived in Woodbury for over 10 years with my husband, Phil, and our two children, Sam and Max. I am originally from St. Paul. In my spare time I like to read, go for walks, try new recipes and spend time with family and friends.

Annette Johnson-Scheduling Coordinator

My name is Annette Johnson. I have enjoyed working in the dental field for over 25 years. My career initially began as a dental assistant in general dentistry, but I soon realized that I enjoy the business and scheduling area of dentistry more. Orthodontics is rewarding to me because of the wonderful changes we make in people’s lives.

I am married to my husband, Charlie, and we have three children. We make our home in Hastings, a community that I have lived in most of my life. Outside work I spend my time scrapbooking, camping, volunteering and watching my children play sports.

Katie Madsen-Orthodontic Assistant

Hello, my name is Katie. I have been an orthodontic assistant and worked for Henseler Orthodontics since 2003. I received my clinical training at St. Cloud Technical College with an Associates Degree. What I most enjoy about orthodontics is the excitement our patients have when they see their smile after braces. What I most enjoy about working for Henseler Orthodontics is the friendships we create with each other and our patients. It is a very fun and rewarding atmosphere to work in.

Outside the office I enjoy spending time with family and friends. My favorite time of the year is summer. In the summertime I enjoy the sun, cabins and barbeques. When I am not outside I enjoy reading or catching a movie.

Beth Granger-Financial Coordinator

Hi, my name is Beth. I have been in the dental field for over 25 years, and had the pleasure of working at Henseler Orthodontics for about 10 years. I currently live in Woodbury. I enjoy summertime, movies, exploring new places to have dinner and spending time with my friends and family, especially my granddaughter Payton. I am an avid Vikings fan and love stirring it up with all the local Packer fans here in Woodbury “WI”.

Jackie Roy-Orthodontic Assistant

Hello, my name is Jackie Roy. I have worked for Henseler Orthodontics since 2004. I received my training at Lakeland Dental Academy. The best part of being an orthodontic assistant is seeing our patients become more confident with their smiles as treatment progresses and seeing the excitement the day the braces come off. I feel very lucky to work in orthodontics because it is a specialty in the health care field where healthy people have chosen to come to us because they want to change their lives in a positive way. I have a “feel good at the end of the day” kind of job.

I love living in Minnesota. I enjoy spending my personal time outdoors, traveling, gardening, cooking new recipes, snowboarding, experiencing new music and socializing with friends.

Rachel Collins-Orthodontic Assistant

Hello, my name is Rachel. I have been part of the Henseler Orthodontic team for over ten years now! You will find me both in the clinical area having fun chairside assisting and also in the lab making retainers and other orthodontic appliances. I love working with our patients and seeing the changes in each of them form the beginning to end of treatment. To watch their new smile unfold and see the confidence they gain is absolutely amazing I love being part of that and knowing I helped make a difference in their lives. Also, being part of a team is huge. We have a great working atmosphere, an incredible Doctor and fabulous staff. We are a family and look forward to making you part of our family.

Outside the office, I enjoy spending time with my husband and our two children, Grant and MacKenzie. They keep us very busy with various sporting events, Boy Scouts and Girl Scouts. I also enjoy scrapbooking, hanging out with family and friends, movie nights and seeing my nieces and nephews.
